Could you or your team walk 26 miles for Wonderful Life Academy ?

We are looking for individuals or teams to walk a Marathon to raise funds for our Charity to support the Well-being and Mental Health of key workers and to provide FREE Wellbeing workshops for everyone. You can do the whole 26.2 miles yourself or walk as part of a group and do a little bit each.

How to get involved

How to get involved

1.Decide if you are going to walk solo or if you are going to divide the distance up amongst a group or team. Think of a Team Name.

2. Register below so we can add you to our list of supporters. It’s FREE to register and we will not share your details with anyone else.

3. Download our Sponsorship form. Remember to ask everyone who sponsors you to complete the relevant boxes for Gift-Aid to help us raise even more money to provide FREE wellbeing workshops. You can download as many sponsor forms as you need.

4. Plan your route. You can create a full 26.2 mile route or create a smaller route and do a number of laps. It’s up to you, it’s your Marathon. You don’t have to do the full 26.2 miles, you can walk as little as you like as long as you let your sponsors know.  Local parks or countryside are perfect for walking away from hazards and traffic.

5.Tell everyone you know and ask them to sponsor you. There is no minimum sponsorship requirement but it’s good to set yourself a target. Share your Marathon challenge on social Media.

6. Plan your walk. Make sure you keep Sunday 25th September free in your diary. Think about what you are going to wear. Think about the weather and be prepared for anything. Think about refreshments and first aid. Remember to STAY SAFE !!

7.On the day check your route. Check the weather and dress appropriately. Remind everyone on social media that you are doing the walk today. Take loads of photos and share them with friends and us via our Facebook page. Remember STAY SAFE !!

8. Once you have completed your walk celebrate like crazy. You have just done something amazing and improved your own well-being too.

9. Collect your sponsor money and send it to us. You can use the donate button on the website, visit our just giving page or contact us via facebook to arrange a bank transfer.

10. Have a well earned rest ! You deserve it. Give yourself a pat on the back and don’t forget to thank everyone involved and share your total raised with all your sponsors, family and friends
